Our Mission
Better Chances is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the BIPOC community who are disadvantaged and underserved, to rise above the challenges posed by society. The BIPOC community faces social determinants of health such as inadequate housing,unhealthy lifestyles due to food insecurity, educational disparities, gang violence, drug addiction, and the threat of incarceration. By providing overall health and wellbeing support services, educational resources, and community engagement initiatives, we aim to foster resilience, promote health equity, and create pathways to success. In addition BIPOC youth recieve essential academic support and enriching extracurricular activities that promote holistic positive youth development and inspire a brighter future.
Our Vision
Better Chances envisions a future where all youth, starting from elementary school and extending through high school, have access to essential services that promote their safety, education, health, and overall well-being, while also providing support to families, creating a strong foundation that will allow both youth and their families to thrive and be successful in their adulthood.
